Who are the Wunderkind?

Hard headed teens, meet the time stream.

This is most definitely not your run of the mill time travelers story. Got that? Okay, here we go. WUNDERKIND is our foray into a Manga-leaning teenage and young adult adventurism. The story unfolds 50 years into the future, to a climatically depleted Earth that is stuck between renaissance and dystopia, depending on your location, social status, age, race and the size of your wallet. in 2075 America is fully recognized the world over as a corporate entity. Far smaller in stature and influence, but overflowing with futurism and technology, which at this point in time is accepted as an extension of God. The logic extends from the idea that man created tech and God created man.

Enter the Wunderkind, or at least what this group of modern hippie teens. They consider themselves exceptional, as a child should. They ride Uni-Bikes, outside of their bikes, they do not adhere to societal rules and their concept of God doesn’t have microchips. They’ve rejected the grid and instead stumble across the Holy Grid, which is believed to be defunct after the age of Ultra-ism. A nearly nonexistent moment in history where certain humans could tap into the planets very aura and empower themselves. That’s where these kids run into a live pocket of the Holy Grid beneath a dormant freight train tunnel on the West Side of Manhattan that could move them through time itself, but no further back than the 20th Century.

Needless to say, if you take extremely idealistic teens who are not in love with their world and grant them the ability to play with time, things are going to get more than interesting.
